The Concept
The shirt design was a combination of two loon paintings I made first (the colors of the first one and the composition of the other). Making these paintings first allowed me to explore the colors and shapes I was interested in using and be comfortable stylizing them even further.
The Process
I took a painterly approach in developing the final illustration - I worked from a messy "underpainting" and slowly found the shapes I wanted to keep.

Pre-Press
I cleaned up the file and prepared it for screen printing. I was able to print all of my colors/values with only 4 colors of ink (White, Blue, Pink, and Purple).
