Sketch vs Final Design
The concept for this mural was to create a cosmic fantasy landscape that depicts an astronaut floating amid a collection of planets and celestial bodies, inspired by the color palettes of pride flags. Taking a small step (or giant leap) into a new community can be intimidating but also exciting. Interstellar travel is often associated with exploration, discovery, and new opportunities. This mural is a welcoming, inspiring, and inclusive visual statement representing the journey we’ve all made (or are trying to make) to explore and become a part of our LGBTQ+ community.
